How does everyone manage to get great photos/videos of their reefs with an iPhone? Is there some type of filter I can buy? I would love that as I plan on taking lots of progress photos.

After you take pics, go to picture and in upper right corner, you will see edit and then 14 scales to fine tune images, color, spectrum, etc

Think this will suffice. Many more too if I go and dig.

XS max no filter

Look up SandMarc.

Also have seen ppl use color tint laid on glass same idea as the expensive filters.

I have the Orphek filters but lately I’ve just been using the kraken reef glasses for a filter. I also play with the zoom and focus. As well as editing tools. iPhone 13Pro in my case. I did move my tank up in to larger one so I’m still getting a feel for focal length and such.

The simplest method is to correct the temperature of the light that the camera sees by using a clip on filter like the ones shown above.

If you have a recent model smartphone (ie iPhone 14pro or later), perhaps other makes as well) that internally captures a raw data format, you can also use the photo editor built into the phone to correct color temperature and tint after the exposure.

When to mix up fish meal: When was the last time you tried a different brand of food for your reef?
