got a new tank 4ft length 16 inch width and 2ft height but the stand is 1inch shorter then the tank had used styrofoam matt and also a 18mm plywood its always a nigthmare for me what if it will leak. Is it safe or not need some suggestion tank is full of water right now.

Not safe! Get it emptied out and add something to the back there! (The plywood is bowing visibly!)

Probably just a “n” shape made out of 2x4, screwed in place to the back of the stand, two load bearing legs and a horizontal 2x4 on edge, resting on top of the legs! (Legs should extend all the way to the floor)

I’d also add some structural support to the back extending to the floor just to be safe. With hundreds or thousands of pounds of water in the tank, you never want to take unnecessary risks. Should be an easy fix with a few screws and some lumber.

Why not have a proper stand welded out of 1” square tube. A weld shop can do that for a reasonable cost. Thats what I did for my 4x2x2.

can you send me a picture of your tank support you have done for overhanging issue.
