Is a PH swing 8.16 to 8.48 a problem?

I have a 55 gallon tank with a 30 gallon sump. My PH probe reports that my PH low is about 8.16 and my high is 8.48 with an average of 8.3. Is this acceptable?

I am only dosing ALK at this time, 0.1 ML for 1 minutes ever hour. My ALK is running at 50 PPM.

I run my DT from noon until 10 PM and my sump light from 10 PM until 6 am.

I run my Power Heads and Protein Skimmer 24/7 and my temp is 78-79 and my salinity is targeted at 1.025.

Think I covered most things but sure I missed something.

Thanks in advance
Rob

I feel it will be huge problem. I'm guessing you are going to have to suffer through many individuals who are jealous of your pH readings!

And Welcome to Reef2Reef! Glad to have you here!
