There is an area on the side of the coral looking white. The rest of rhe coral seems to be doing well. Is mh coral loosing tissue and dying? What should i do? Cut off the affected area? Has anyone dealt with a similar situation before? Yhank you all for your help.

It looks like a cabbage to me but not 100% sure, how is the flow in the tank, leathers like flow. How long have you had it? If you can share more details on the tank it will help, water parameters, lighting, flow, etc..
