I went to feed our fish when I noticed our emerald crab. I decided to give it some food as it was at the top of the tank. As I gave it food it began to eat and angle itself more toward the light and I noticed what looked like tiny black caviar it in pouch, er whatever. After eating its punch fluttered a bit as if it were trying to circulate water to the eggs for oxygen. Will this hatch successfully if they are eggs? Will they grow up safely?

Yep, that's what they are. Congrats! Chances are they will become fish food, but you never know.

That is fantastic. Years ago I had an emerald that carried eggs. We tried to keep good track in hopes for young ones but one day they were gone and never baby crabs.
