Just wondering if y’all think my hammer is reaching for light and if I should reposition? Overall it seems happy but typically I see photos of hammers and the tips are tighter together like the bright green of mine would be bunched much tighter together. That is how the sale photo of this particular coral looked, but don’t know how long it was in their tank, etc. Thanks!

Thanks for the replies guys! They do some swaying but sounds like I should move them more into a higher flow area if I want them to tighten up.

Why would you want them to tighten up? If they happy and healthy they will fully extended, and if you throw more flow at them of course they will close up and stress out

I like the relaxed look hammer coral give, up to you on what you enjoy. But, high flow can kill hammers.

Yea it.looks.happy where its at. Tight will make skeleton show and slowly kill coral. Staying g is where I enjoy. Completely blown over is tough on e.

When I had my hammer it always looked puffy I believe puffy is good we want that haha

personally i would keep it there, an extending coral is a happy coral. If you do move it into a place for it too tighten up then dont put it in an area of too high flow because that will only cause it too close. good luck
