I have no idea what it looks like for these guys to split but maybe it is or maybe not? For some reason it starts to lift up like too much water flow but it’s really not then like 20 minutes later it starts to lay down more

A lot of ricordeas have two mouths and dont split. It could eventually but i would say no its not currently splitting.
Most of the time my mushrooms split then will grow a new mouth.

Heres a couple of my most recent natural splits.

The last photo, is a gonzo golden dragon i have and is almost invasive as it splits quite often. Normally 2-3x per week. Then the babies split....its terrifying.

My 2cents, are never to add Ricordeas to a tank I own ever again haha. They multiple like crazy and will take over because their sting is a lot worse than most corals. I have to cut about a dozen a month to keep them at bay. Plague proportions if not removed!

And it will eventually split or reproduce but two mouths dont really dictate that on a ricordea in my experience and years of ricordea keeping.
My big orange rainbow had 2 mouths for more than 3 years before it reproduced. The mouths always stayed together on the same body.

I understand that, but, I’m just giving a friendly reminder. They will kill almost every other coral with their sting.
