Hi everyone, this is my first saltwater tank. I have a 16 gallon up and running for over 2 months now. With 2 clown fish, a blenny, skunk shrimp, and 4 nassarius snails.

Do you think I could add a firefish? Or would that put me over my bio load. I use a tidal 55 HOB filter with live sand ans 20 lbs of live rock.

3 smallish fish in a 16 gallon.
I would say imo yes thats enough fish,or at most 1 more small fish like a clown goby or fire fish like you said or something along those lines,as imo dont want to many fish in a tank because bio filter wont keep up / and or got to do more water changes or need more live rock for surface area for bacteria to filter but then less water so tank less stable so i just think under stocking is best but always lots variables like your nitrates/ phoapates maybe 0 and your corals going down hill so need feed more 9r get more fish to create more waste for the corals.
but could add more cuc definately.
Few hermits
Few of each snails like trochus, cerith, astrea etc
Cuc would need be supplemented feeding if not enough fish waste/ algae etc if wanted a few.

Think you're good with fish. Clowns might get a bit mean as they get older making it tough living for other fish.

I've never been much of a fan of emerald crabs ever since I found some tearing away at some coral. Tank gets endless food so I know they did it out of malice haha
