The guy at the lfs told me these guys were nice

S/he would be very wrong. The damsels in that group are big and nasty. Domino, 3 stripe, 4 stripe, and others...stay away.

The ruby head wrasse will probably eventually outgrow the 45 too, but it may take a while.

Well.....with water displacement, lets say you have 40g’s of water(probably less). Using 3g’s per inch, (aggressive as many use 4 or 5g’s per inch) you can have 13 inches of ADULT size fish,,, The adult size of these fish exceeds 13 inches....If you find a new home for the damsel, you s/b about right. Wrasses like swimming room and when cramped more prone to jump out so be aware and ensure your lid is snug...

Sorry need to correct myself....

I looked up the adult sizes of all of these fish....you are overstocked.
2 wrasses-10”
Damsel-5”
2 Ocellaris-6”
Total= 21”

Even if you find Damsel new home, you would be over but would at least give you some time to sort it out. The Damsel you have is a terror especially as he grows. This makes him the prime target for a new home. Your other fish are peaceful and should get along. Good luck.
