Is my tank ready for fish? Please help

Hello I’m on day 13 of my Fishless cycle using Fritz turbo start 900 and Fritz Fishless fuel ammonia drops. I’m hoping I can add a pair of clownfish tomorrow but I’m not a 100% sure my tank is ready for it or not. I’ve only dosed the tank once with ammonia and had it right at 2ppm and it dropped to 0 on day 9 . My nitrites went up to 2ppm and it dropped to 1.0 ppm yesterday and it’s at 0.25 today . The nitrates were as high as 160 but has dropped. My question is can I add a pair of fish tomorrow or should I wait for my nitrites to 0 out and re dose the tank with ammonia to make sure it 0 out in 24 hours. Thanks in advance

I am not an expert at saltwater but in my opinion it is good.

You’re good.

Side note: Nitrites interfere with the nitrate tests and cause them to show impossibly high values. In reality your nitrates are going to be <10.

I would do a second dose of ammonia to atleast 1ppm. You want to make sure that the bacteria can handle your ammonia . If you dose the 1ppm of ammonia then 24 hours laterdrops to 0 again then you are good

Do it now, just to make sure that the bacteria are working.

Like @Madsmokey12 said do it now. Be careful to not do more than 2 ppm. All your doing is to see if it goes back down to 0 tomorrow then you are def good to good. Often if you dont do the second dose you get another spike and goodbye fish. I know it sucks but be patient

You should add fish one at a time. I would rethink a clown pair. How big is that tank?

Yeah i just tested its right at 2ppm i dosed half of what i did in the beginning but still hit 2ppm so i guess time will tell. I just wanted to have fish tomorrow because it’s my only day off but if i gotta wait a week i rather then have the fish die

It’s a 25 gallon that was the reason why I did a Fishless cycle to get a pair. I’m planning to get small ones

You’re ok to get the pair I would def get the pair. Also consider one of these

yea would hate for you to spend money then come home to dead fish i would wait bro but you should be fine tomorrow. It will get to zero

Watchman goby could work, but you should add it first.

Give it a chance to learn where the escape routes and hidey holes are.

Get the YWG a pistol shrimp before the clowns. It will create a lair and help the YWG hide.

The only reason why I wanted to do the clowns first because they are a pretty hardy fish. I thought for a new cycle it would be perfect. Eventually I want to get a 125+ gallon tank but we might move within the next year so a 25g tank is easier to move then a large tank
