is my tds ok?

Do you think i can just buy this and connect?
You can. But it’s probably going to be cheaper to just buy a new one with DI.

What you have in your tank, the amount of the water change, the size of the tank, how new the tank is, what you were using before could all be factors for the answer about water changes.

Is the tank brand new or did you have another way to get RODI water before? Do you have a LFS where you could get RODI until you get the correct unit?

If you add some declorinator so its safe use, you can change the water with it.

If not, i wouldn’t use it.
i added some declorinator and is now showing up as 80 TDS is there a reason for this?

exactly - keep your current set up and just add DI -

google DI resign canisters -- aquatic life RO Buddie deionization (DI) Cartridge will probably work to

Yes. declorinator has a bunch stuff in to remove the chlorine which adds tds, and it also binds metals and other things which adds to the tds more.
