My toadstool leather has slowly developed these little grooves (for lack of a better word) over the past few months, and when I took the time to notice today they seemed much more pronounced. I'm also seeing them in a new part of the crown as well. Is this the coral budding itself off? Params are:

Ca- 470
Alk- 8.04
Mg 1155 (annoyingly low, waiting for some MG supplement to come in tomorrow to help out with this)
Nitrates- 7
Phosphates- .15

That’s how they look when breaking off new shoots. Not abnormal especially with it showing good polyp extension

That's what I assumed, but figured I'd check in nonetheless. Would it be worth just cutting them off with a razor blade if it's going to happen anyway? I'm just not sure how close to the stem I should cut

let them dislodge by themselves.
