I was wanting to possibly dye some PVC fittings on my return to make them blend in more and was wondering if this dye is reef safe?

Maybe someone from the #reefsquad will know. Do you have a list of ingredients of what's in there? That might help. Also, perhaps @Randy Holmes-Farley could be of help.

The dye will not be absorbed into the PVC, your better off painting with spray Rust-Oleum

I have died motorcycle parts with RIT dye and it was absorbed into the plastic just by immersing the part in the dye for several hours. Another way is to add the dye to clear pipe cleaner or MEK then brush it on. It won't peel or chip like paint. If you keep it on the outside of the pipe, you don't have to be too concerned about the dye being reef-safe.

I believe the pipe that he wanted to do was going to be submersed on the inside and outside by coming out of the overflow. (I like your comment and link!)
