Okay so heres the story my tank is 2 years old. I seeded live rock at the beginning. Everything going good, i was able to grow hammers from a single head to colonies. During those 2 years i encounter those brown substance which im assuming it’s brown jelly.
Now i am a person who LOVES to test, i mean i am on it, i test my nutrients every few days i have hanna all in one. I mean anything wrong goes with my tank, and i am genuinely on it. I tested my parameters, i am not else sure where this is coming from.
I also send an ICP every few months, to check if anything i can’t test for. I also sent one yesterday my parameters going to be listed below, but i am genuinely tired. I also i can’t understand if what im seeing is dead rotten polyps or brown jelly.
In this first video you can tell this knicks who was splitting into 4 heads, the polyps are retacted. It didn’t seem like i caught it in time. The next day i found that brown substance. Took the torch out, dipped it in chemicclean, restor, and iodine. Cleaned it with a turkey blaster. Woke up the next day, and i see this from the left over polyps.
Thats where the tentacles are not extended u can tell its infected
I am sort of new to the hobby, i didn’t know that u shouldnt let those brown substances fly inside your tank. While i was removing the torch, some of them flew inside the tank. Its provably a costly mistake. Can someone here for the life of me tell me if what im seeing is brown jelly or rotten dead polyps?
As a new reefer, whos putting all the hardwork in this tank, i want to know what can i do beside making everything stable in my tank to prevent this. Also what dips beside what i used is effective to brown jelly. My second question is also do i need to treat the whole tank, since the brown substance flew inside the tank?
Parameters:
Alk:9.1 (stable) i dose afr on a redsea doser
Cal:420
Mag:1420
Phosphate:0.24ppm
Nitrate:6.00ppm
Ph:8.26 during the end of the day.
