Hey all, I’ve either caught my pagoda pooping or the early stages of brown jelly.

Yesterday I placed it in a new spot, and a hermit or snail knocked it over into my elegance coral, was maybe there for 2 hours.

this stuff doesn’t come off at all, even sucking it with a pipette did nothing.

I don’t want to accidentally stress it to death with a precautionary dip either… but for now it’s secured in this hang on breeder tank alone for observation.

It does not look like brown jelly, but would you be able to take a picture in only white lights? turn the blue's off, thanks

It looks necrotic to me, not like brown jelly, but not in good shape, unfortunately.

Still kind of hard to tell. Kind of looks like algae growing over the necrotized tissue from where it the elegance likely stung the heck out of it

anything I can do for it? :(

hasn't progressed it seems, as no more heads have gone necrotic

Time will heal these wounds. Just make sure that the algae doesn't smother the coral so it can recover. Once it heals up, it will send out sweepers, kill the algae and re-grow over those spots. Best thing you can do is keep your tank stabile and let it be so it can recover.
