Hello reefers. I upgraded my WaveMaker 2 weeks ago to the Hygger 18W sine WaveMaker, and just checking with people that are much more knowledgeable than I if the flow is okay. The Torch, octospawn and hammer on the right side are corals that I just got in, and will be placing them around the others this weekend. Please let me know what you guys think. Thank you all!

Looks to be approximately same as mine. And I have the same hygger gyre. 75g woth 2 hygger wavemaker, the 2115(?) gph, but they are at the lowest setting...

I'm using 1 in a 65g. Same footprint as 40g breeder, but it's on the highest setting. Tried positioning it in different places, 1 it blew the hell out of my middle rocks and all polyps retracted.

Try angling the output either up or down. Also i do have a rock that acts as a wave break plus with a powerhead that slightly is off set from the gyre to create that waving randomish flow. Here are how mine are set up...I'll get you the numbers later.

I may buy a 2nd small WaveMaker just to try that. The other one I have is a double headed pump that will 100% cause too much flow. The one at the left of the tank on the video. I unplugged it, just never took it out.

Yeah ive found that bigger is NOT better in regards to flow, what the point of paying more just to turn the flow down to 10%??? But trial and error is the way i learn. Because each application is unique to the tank/individual.

Yeah, and the size of this tank is definitely not typical from what I've researched. It was just another tank that I used to have angelfish in that I didn't want to go to waste.

I think it looks fine.... but I like the idea of adding a 2nd one, and I don't really like running pumps at 100% (to me, anything over 75% seems to get quite noisy).

It's extremely quiet honestly. The sound you hear in the background is the sound machine because my baby is asleep. Or it could be Outkast. Idk. It's one of the 2, lol.
