Is there any tricks to keeping an elegance coral?

I know they tend to be more tricky that most LPS, but I had a real nice one that was doing fine then all of a sudden it just started melting. My other one seems to be OK.

I've had one for about 9 months or so, and it seems to be doing great. I hear that where they're from seems to affect their survival rate (probably more to do with collection practices than DNA).

With elegance coral it seems to be where they come from. For a while all elegance corals were not living in the hobby after not having issues for years.. Since they started coming in from Australia there does not seem to be a problem with them from Australia..

My Aussie which is several years old now.. This is a old picture. He has been removed from the tank because he started taking up too much room with my Crispa anemone. Matter of fact if you look close you can see the war.
