Saw this on a plug I pulled to clean some sponge off and saw this little critter. It looks like it may be a chiton. It moves similar and does have a shell but I didn't find any that looked like this one when searching.
I have limpets multiplying but it looks nothing like those. Nothing added in a long time so they could be reproducing. Tank is 3 years old started with some old live rock and has a lot of mature tank creatures like sponges tube worms etc. It's about 1/4" tip to tip when stretched out moving.

Anyone else buy live rock hoping to get an octopus so you have a reason to set up another tank?

I got a Mantis in mine. It’s going to be a blast getting it out.

Pretty cool! I’ve only bought fuzzy chitons, kinda prehistoric looking. Back in January I got 50 lbs of live rock from TBS and got a lot of cool things, limpets, red mithrax crabs, sponges etc.

I bought a couple once but they didn't last long. I was pretty surprised to see this one. I'm really unsure how it made it's way in since my ocean rock was purchased 10 years ago and I've never seen one before. I also have limpets reproducing like crazy.
