The zoa on this frag are the only ones not opening. Is this a pest algae or something else? The frag is indomaricultured from Live Aquaria.

Does it look like this, kinda like a fern on it's ends?

It’s a pest algae and difficult to remove. Not to mention nothing will eat it! You can try using magnesium or Fluconazole to get rid of it or hydrogen peroxide.
