Is this a favia?

I've had this guy for several months now without ever knowing what it is. Favia? Or...

It's in the same family, though I don't beleive that it's truly a favia. The care should be similar, though it might require slightly more flow than regular favias to keep sand and detritus from falling on it due to the angular faces. Beautiful coral! :D

Looks like same family as the multicolored war coral, which if im correct is a favia.

^ Yes.

Technically it's a Favites, rather than a Favia. The corallites on Favites have shared walls (like yours), whereas the corallites on Favia have separate walls.

I think it is montastrea curta, growing a little different in captivity. Looks like the PPE favia, Even Horizon favia (not actually a favia) to me. Lower light and that puppy will color up on you!

Thanks for all the responses! I agree with the favites suggestion. Yours is a beauty stunreefer! I think mine will stay more green, when I first got it I placed it mid tank and it started to bleach. So I moved it to the bottom and it colored back up with green. Now it looks to be bleaching again but I think that's due to old&poor quality t5 bulbs. Also it seems to like low flow as it plumps up more when I turn the pumps off

That's a different species. You can see the structure is different from the OP's where the corallites meet.

I would say this is the species the OP has: Favites russelli. Corals of the World - Photos, maps and information about corals and reefs
