I bought this little frag from Zac’s Reef in SC three days ago for $25 under the assumption that it was a hammer. Now, I am starting to think that it is actually a torch. Could it just be a hammer with long sweepers or is this a torch? If he is, I need to move him away from my hammers so he doesn’t sting them.

torch and appears to be bleached. Assure not too much white intensity and that calcium is at least 400

its not a hammer coral so yes, a torch. It doesnt have very wild colors so probably why it was cheap. Cool find!
Aweseome! Its colors are somewhat more vibrant than they appear in the video so I'm stoked! Hopefully it colors up a little more as it adjusts to my light

I have “long tentacle” hammer but it has “hammer tips”

I got a torch for 55 at reefapalooza and its kind of boring but has 3 heads and blue tips. I figured why not for that price.

Now I’m not so sure. With my flow off, the tips look like little hammer tips? Is it some kind of hybrid?
