I'm new to SPS and I don't know what "right" looks like. Can someone tell me if this monti cap looks healthy? Its been in the tank a little over a week now. Are they normally less bright on the edges? And how can I tell whether I'm looking at growth or STN?

That’s probably not a cap, hence the lack of a white growth margin. Looks to be one of the thicker plating/encrusting varieties.

In that case it looks perfectly healthy. One those get established and “decide” to grow, it will go nuts. Very fast growers.
