Is this a normal crab thing ?

My halloween crab molted and found a new shell. But it’s a lot smaller than the one he had before and he looks crammed in there.

There are other shells in the tank or he could have reused his old one. Should I worry that none were the correct size and try to find him some more ?

I've never put shells in for my crabs. I just let them do what's natural. If they feel the need for a larger shell they will find one in the tank be it already dead or alive.
