Is this a scratch, crack or is it just silicone thread?

Hello,
I bought an Acqueon column tank 15 gallon and I noticed this on the top corner of my tank. I can only feel it from inside , filled the tank and there are no leaks. Should I be worried? What do you think it is?

It looks superficial, whatever it is. Even if it were a scratch, that kind of pattern wouldn't impact the integrity of the glass. You can try scraping it with a razor blade if it bugs you.

I’d say silicone strand, should come off easily with a razor blade if you wanted.

Take your nail and scrape across the strand. If it peels off, you know. If not, that thought is eliminated. If scratch, bummer but no biggie.

I'm banking on silicone. Should come off easy enough.

Welcome to R2R by the way. When you get a chance, you should wander over to the "Meet and Greet" section and introduce yourself. There are lots of great folks here that would love to meet you.

Thanks for all the replies! Thanks for letting me know that it’s silicone and nothing to worry about.
