Bought this coral a few weeks ago. I was told it was a stylo, but I can’t seem to find another one that looks like mine. The yellow on the coral is pretty true to color, but the rest of the coral is IMO a “Masters” or “Augusta National” dark green. I am a golfer and that was one of my reasons for picking it up lol.

But any ways, what do you think? Do I have a stylo or something else?

Thanks!

Hard to tell from the photos.

I tried to adjust the blue out, but without a base reference, I am not sure what colors to adjust...

It appears to me to be a Stylo, but I could very well be wrong.

Thanks for the input everyone! I will try and get a clear white photo of the coral in the am when lights come on.

From what I have been reading I think I am leaning more toward it being psammocora. Doesn't have the polyps of the styles I am seeing.

The closest I’ve seen so far is what jwaldbusser had said, john deere psa but still not a perfect match.

Either way a sweet looking coral!

Awesome! Glad you were able to help! It would of taken me a while to figure out it was a psammocora!

What do you keep yours under? I have AI Prime, and based on brs investigates and their recommended settings in figuring it’s at about 190-200ish par with good indirect flow over the top of it.

It’s funny too because in the same purchase I bought a “sour apple” birds nest which through further investigation is a birds of paradise lol either way they are both awesome looking corals.

in this tank I have all Red Sea gear , it’s sitting under three Led 90’s in a 160 gallon system. Where it’s sitting it’s probably 200-225 par in pretty strong flow . It’s probably doubled in size in a month .
