Is this aiptasia

I was checking my tank this afternoon and thought I saw some little tentacles coming out of a rock. I came back later after dark and saw that it was completely out and was able to get a picture. I'm pretty sure this is aiptasia, but would just like someone with more experience to confirm please. Also, from what I looked up, some of the options for getting rid of it is getting a peppermint shrimp that will eat it (which I don't know if it'll be safe to put with my cleaner shrimp or not), to use lemon juice injected into the base of the aiptasia, or to use aiptasia x. Any thoughts or experiences with any of those? I feel like the shrimp might be the most reliable method, but I rather not add livestock if I don't have to.

Yes. Get rid of it before it spreads. I'd recommend Aiptasia-X. I use it whenever I see any pop up and it works perfectly

It looks like aptasia to me, I haven't had much luck keeping peppermint shrimp alive but I have had very good luck with aptasia x

If u have Kalkwasser, make a think paste and drown that little guy :)

Sigh ok, thank you guys! I'm so careful about what I put in the tank, Im kinda disappointed this made its way in lol. I'll go by my LFS tomorrow and see if they have any aiptasia x. And possibly look into peppermints in the future to see if it'll help avoid this problem.

It's still pretty tiny. A BRS video recommend just covering it and the hole it's in with super glue. I have the glue right now and could do it. Without waiting, have any of you tried that?

I haven't tried that but I panicked when I saw my first aptasia, it wasn't that bad waiting a few days to get the aptasia x in the mail and now I always keep some for when I see one

I’ve always used peppermints. Sometimes it takes a few before one will eat it.

Yes, super gluing works altho I prefer Aiptasia X or maybe file fish. I would also scrub off the algae, etc. when you take the rock out of the tank for gluing. IME peppermints are hit or miss (so are file fish btw but I like the way they look and behave) and they can irritate some corals and will "steal" food from them.

Thanks everyone, yeah I definitely think I'm just panicking some. It's my first tank so I'm nervous haha. I just went through my tank with a flashlight and found one more, fairly close to the first, but in a slightly more awkward spot. So I guess I'll wait and get the aiptasia x tomorrow to use.

I would worry too much about them. Of all the possible issues, it’s really one of the easier problems to solve.

Yeah, probably no such thing as "just one aiptasia." I think they are a relatively benign pest all in all.
