I would treat that with cipro asap. That brown gunk looks like it's creeping into the other head.

Are you able to remove the torch & remove the other head that is dead?

It appears to possibly be BJD, and Ciprofloxin is the cure that dipping in iodine or KCL aren't.

Unfortunately it looks like it’s too far gone to save. Head doesnt look fully split. I’d pull it and discard and do a full system cipro treatment.

I've pulled torches back from that and possibly worse. I don't even cut off the dead heads. Once the bacteria are killed, the only thing to worry about is algae on the dead heads, but usually the torch polyps cover the dead heads and prevent algae growth. If the dead head is getting light, go ahead and cut it. Get cipro on it asap, though.

Fastest way is to go to local vet and hope they’d write you a prescription that could be filled at a local pharmacy.
