Anyone know if this is some kind of stress response in my Blasto-mouth has been wide open since putting in tank yesterday? Did not dip it yet and it seems to have lost what little red color it had yesterday. I put multiple frags in yesterday and all are doing quite well-this is the only one I am questioning. 1st pic is yesterday and the second is today

Can you turn on the white lights and get some more pictures? What is the par level? IMO it’s either really stressed from higher par than what it’s used too or something happened during shipping, assuming tank is within normal parameters for alk and salinity.

Unfortunately I don’t have a par meter but yesterday I put it at the top and when I got back from an appointment 2 hrs later moved it to the very bottom of tank-it’s a 20gal tank with one AI Prime. I run my blues at 50% and my white at 40% from 8am to 3pm then trend all down till 6pm. Tank
Parameters, I did t want to lead with to avoid a specific immediate direction but this is a brand new tank (11 days old) so ammonia still registers at .05, nitrites .75 and nitrates 15. Tank was started with live rock and live sand. The other concern possibly a light bacteria bloom from me moving a large rock to evict brisket worm-yes I know they are great pest but they give me the

The newness of the tank doesn't concern me. Even if there is a little ammonia it's not a problem for the corals.

Thanks for the updated picture. It looks like some skeleton where the red should be around the mouth. Even if you hit it with too much light for a couple hours it should not be disintegrating on day 2. The other frags are doing fine? Are they all from the same shipment? What was the condition of the Blasto when you unpacked it? Was it all shrunken up? Was the water clear? Did you happen to note the temperature of the water?

I would be contacting the seller and looking for a refund or replacement.

Thank you, when I opened the bag to pour into a container for acclimating ~30min it was shrunk into its skeleton, the water was clear in the bag, don’t remember anything remarkable about the temp and I didn’t see any pest. After putting in the tank it came out and the 1st pic I posted was what it looked like-it had color but its mouth was gaping. Everything else I have in my tank looked great then and still today everything looks really good except this 1 coral.

Unfortunately I believe you are correct it has pretty much disintegrated with nothing but the center left-uggh. I do think I will contact the seller and see what they can/willing to do.

Here is my tank currently -looks good except a slight bacteria bloom
