Is this bleaching caused by nudibranch or by shading.

I was ready to start dipping for nudibranch until I saw bleaching on an acropora, in another thread, and it was said to be caused by to much shade. The bleaching on my monti is shaded. I have another monti and shows no sign of bleaching. I would like another opinion of what is causing this before I start the long process of dipping.

If you don't see nudi's, I go with shading. Mine do this in the shade. Going to happen.

I use the Kent marine lugols solution the recommended dosage is 1 drop per 25 gallons weekly
Thank you very much. I taped a white foam board to the end that the "chalice" is positioned to reflect light on it. It really increased light on to the chalice. I will be adding the lugols to my aquarium also. Thanks again

Thank you for response. Several have suggested adding iodine which I will be starting to do. I always no where to go for help, "R2R"
It's why were here my friend. Be careful with iodine dosing. If you do regular water changes you honestly shouldn't need it. If you do decide to dose I would get an iodine test kit
