Is this bryopsis? (clear image included)

I have been slowly struggling with algae issues. Mostly lettuce algae so far. I have finally been making some major headway towards things, but now I see a new type of algae developing. So far there has not been much of it, but I think it might be bryopsis (which makes me very nervous).

What does this look like to you?

Good point, there is nothing for scale. It's not too close though. That piece is probably 1cm in length.

At night take your cellphone light and shine it around the algae, if it has a blue/green fluorescent tint to it= bryopsis. Thats how i tell if i have it maybe it might work

It almost looks like a species of caulerpa. However, I'm kind of agreeing with wiz. There's nothing that shows scale in the image.

That is NOT bryposis. That is a just some sort of macro algae that hitched hiked in on a rock. Its fairly nice actually. Do you have tangs?
Is your tank still fairly new?

Lacking the "fern" look that Bryopsis has. IMO, not Bryopsis.

Tank is a year old. I wish I could have a tang (only 65 gal). The algae I _have_ been battling is lettuce algae of all things. It's everywhere!

That's pretty easy to beat too ur lucky bry isn't in the equation. It takes about two weeks to rid a tank of the macros you are referring too, lettuce being the same. having the algae persist past two weeks means its there on pupose :) that's a strange way to see macro algae invasions~

Consider getting some large hermit crabs and emerald green crabs. They usually do a good job of ridding tanks of algae like that.
