Just noticed some algae that looks different than the hair algae I once had. I’ve gotten a few new frags recently so I’m wondering if something came in on them. There is some on the rocks and a few stalks scatter around in the sand. It looks feathery, but pretty small so far.
Any help is appreciated!

Looks like it could be. Only way I know to deal with it is with fluconazole.

Thank you. I thought it looked suspicious
Yup... nasty stuff. I ALWAYS look for a natural solution to anything going wrong in my reef tanks. That stuff, nope... I used this and am glad that I did:

thank you! I’m going to look this up now. I’m assuming safe for fish. It’s always something lol

I've used it in 2 tanks and nothing except the bryopsis was harmed. The directions are wonky at best. Dose it once in the amount specified. Also, dose it into your filter socks unless you want your tank to look like a snow globe and tick off any anemones you might have. They weren't harmed but were noticeably ticked off by the treatment.

Basically dose and wait 4-5 days and the bryopsis will start turning white and fading away. I keep a supply in stock here now just in case.
