I ordered a small ball of Chaeto and noticed this little branch in with it? This is my first time setting up a refugium and my first time using macro algae so I’m new to all of this? Should I keep it?

Thanks!

I'd avoid it based on past experiences with Caulerpa. It can grow very fast if you're not careful, though tangs often like to eat it. Without a tang in my previous tank, I was overrun with the stuff. I pulled it out by the bucket full but it grew back as fast as I took it out. The tang was very well fed!
