Is this clam growth?

I bought a deresa about three months ago. I had it in a 29 gallon biocube and for the past month it has been in my 55 gallon reef. The guy at the lfs said it looks like this when its growing, so this is normal? It did not grow in the biocube but stayed colorful. Now I am seeing great growth

The only reason he's closed is because the rock was just moved to a higher position

It does look like it is growing. It also looks like that is a derasa and they would prefer to be on the sand bed.

Believe it or not that's only 1 month. It was not growing at all in the biocube, and I keep all my levels at 0. He is loving my reef lights and is certainly my favorite
