Alk

Alk min: 8.36 Alk average: 8.55 Alk max: 8.78

I don't know what people consider large or unacceptable swings.
I know that I have a hard time keeping the numbers closer than you see here.
Is this too much of a swing?

I have a hard time with calcium and mag too.

Calcium

Your ALK looks ok To me. It has moved A bit but not big swings in 24 hours. Your CA and MG look fine as well. These two are hard to get to move fast unless you are dosing a lot. I find my tridents are much more accurate for ALK and I see spikes up and down in CA and MG which I only pay attention to the trends. On one tank I use a CA reactor so I know CA and MG are not going to move fast. The other I dose 2 part with a DOS and MG manually every few weeks when needed so I know MG isn’t going to move fast either. My focus daily would be on ALK. I would focus on CA and MG every week or two.

Also when was the last time you calibrated? often when I calibrate I run a manual test on the 3 as a reference. Sometimes my ALK will be off by .1dkh and i just mentally note it when I monitor my trident.

Here is the Trident graphs from one of my tanks. The MG spike is when I manually dosed. There is no way my CA is moving as much as it shows - it is around 500. The Alk does move a bit. The daily up and down is day to night and the general upward trend is from my PH starting to trend down (almost time to change out my CO2 media).

Honestly,
I have not calibrated my probes or dos in close to a year.

Might not be a bad idea to calibrate.
