Hmm hard to tell! The sand algae looks like Diatoms which should go away on their own.

Does that pink/red algae blow off with a turkey baster? Is it slimy?

Yes it will blow off with a turkey baster if you give it a really good blast. Hard to get off the live rock. Idk if slimy is fitting. It’s almost more like an algae?

Looking at some of the online videos, it def doesn’t float off easily in slimy pieces with a turkey baster like that. Little tiny pieces flake or disappate with related hard blasts.
