Is this flow enough?

Not a lot of SPS experience, got this PC rainbow SPS and re-adjusted flow...its on a pulse setting...does it seem like enough?

Heres a full tank shot. The SPS in the video is circled in red. The other red circle is where I have a nero 5 pointed at it. (FYI its a 111g red sea reefer)

I would say yes but, if your pumps are clean now it won't be enough when they get dirty. That make sense?

Good point, this is the exact reason I removed my Gyre's. They slow to a crawl as they get coated with junk and theyre a pain to clean.

I almost lost those huge torch's when the flow dropped low enough and they got brown jelly.

Now I use MP40's and the chinese knock offs and 2 Nero's. I find these are much easier to clean and dont lose flow so much.

Not as familiar with the others, although they may be similar, but the mp40's are very soft flow, only useful out to about 2' from the pump. Is that the pump you have on the back wall?

If you have them on one of the pulse modes, realize they are spending a LOT of time under 100% power – maybe WAY under – so the actual GPH in tank is not going to be what your thought from the "GPH" label on the pump. Use these modes with a little bit of caution because of this.

Its very difficult to calculate flow rates at a particular spot. I was hoping the video would be the best way to determine if a coral was getting enough flow as you can see the polyps waving in the breeze.
