Is this ghost eel ? Pleae identifiy

Im no expert with them myself, i took care of a tank with one for a few months and have always lived em though. Are you able to get a close up of the face? The body shape definitely looks right for a ghost ribbon.

Dwarf moray is the only other really lightly colored eel but lacking in face spots. Gymnothorax melatemus? Id be pretty stoked if i got one of those on accident. But the dorsal makes me think ribbon.

And when i say only other one, i mean only similar eel THAT I AM FAMILIAR WITH. Haha.

Well, maybe compare mouth shape dorsal shape and color, etc to your current eel and if it matches up that might help you out? Maybe this specimen just lacks the spotting upon its face or its faded? Not sure…

I will say this. It looks cool in the bucket. Also from my limited experience with eels (only kept gymnothorax polyuranodon on the freshwater/brackish side) I have seen enough ghost ribbon eels in stores to think that isn't one from the girth in the bucket pics. It looks cool though in the bucket. Nice color.

Yes it looks nice in my opinion definitely not ghost eel
