Is this how babies are made?

Leather has been a bit crowded lately and doubling on itself. However, I noticed an extra outcropping on the stalk. Maybe it was a pinched piece of the crown, maybe it is a new piece budding off. Anyway, is this an upcoming baby leather? Will it fall off or will I need to frag it off? Thanks!
