Is this leak fixable ?

I'm pointing to where it's coming from.. here is a youtube link to see the leak:

It's a Red Sea Reefer 625 XXL, don't flame me for getting this tank </3

do i trash it and just get a new tank ?

Assuming that's the bulkhead for the overflow.

You can turn the pumps off so no water is in there and take it apart and clean it. Sometimes reseating the gasket is all it needs. If not you can just buy a new bulkhead

Edit. Red sea will probably even sell you a replacement so you don't have to replumb a small section if you do have to get a new bulkhead.

are you saying to clean it from the bottom and just tighten it? or are you telling me to take it out of the overflow clean it and retighten it? - yes it is from the overflow

No resealing

Just remove the bulk head, clean it. Put it back together

Don’t over tighten it - can cause leaks and you can break the glass .

I’d buy a new one and replace it.

Yea take it apart and out of the overflow. It just uses the gasket to seal. No need for silicone or anything like that.

You can take it apart and clean it under warm water and get the gasket that sits in the tank nice and clean.

Has this tank been running without that leak for awhile? Seems like an odd place to spring a leak all of a sudden.

yep, i replaced the o ring and it' fixed! Filling up my tank now. Love R2R!

Honestly, anyone who really wants to be successful needs some community of some sort, and R2R is way better than social media as I find that way wayyyy toxic.
