I would try to find one with multiple colors instead of just two. I think some of LEDTRiC's are only $20 more and should provide better growth.

With 6 blue and 12 white, that’s going to be a very white light…..not to my liking.

Take a look at Reefbreeder's lights.....quality light with a couple more colors....and even their "value" fixture is dimmable.

I just recently bought the reefbreeders par38 bulb. I've found them to have the best price per bulb option around. Still waiting on the delivery though, 1-2 weeks. I currently have 6x455 blues and 5x5k whites over a 15x15x7 tank and it sucks. All 3w leds on seperate 660ma drivers. Color is "ok" at best but growth sucks. I've heard great things about the reefbreeder bulbs so I'm hoping it makes all the difference.

wow... those prices on your ebay links are absurd. i recently go a reefbreeders value fixture, and while im happy with it so far, i havent had it long enough to tell a difference in growth from the other fixtures im using as well.

34 dollars though... its so cheap i would get one just to have as a back up or for a qt tank.

Yea im going with a reefbreeder light. The 38 par 12 led full spectrum. I talked to him today great guy to talk to. Im getting that bulb and a seperate set of optics. After talking with him im going with the 90 and 120 optics. The tank is only 18x18 and 12" deep so im thinking the 120 optics will be good. But if i need more light ill try the 90's. And play with the height.

After all im not looking to light the WHOLE tank just where the corals and clams are gonna be ;-)
