Is this light good enough for a six week SPS quarantine?

People can read my other thread regarding my pale SPS colors and see that I finally figured out I had AEFW. Thankfully, all of my SPS are on plugs and not on rock right now, so dipping is easy.

However, I am thinking of moving all of my SPS to my quarantine tank, and the 36" dual T5 is what I have for light. Will that be enough? I know the corals may brown out, but will this keep them alive? I realize stress may be an issue, but all I am asking is, is the light sufficient to keep acros alive for six weeks?

I would think that lighting would be okay temporarily. Just make sure to acclimate properly to the differernt water conditions. Also, I'm not sure what lighting you have, but make sure to do a proper photo acclimation back to your display tank (assuming it has more intense lighting).

If they are up high in the water column they should be fine. Another fairly inexpensive option is making a 40w point source led using 2 20w multichips (1 royal blue, 1 cool white). Can make it for less that $80 and works great on a small quarantine tank for acros

The tanks they are coming out of will have more intense light, and obviously they will be going into a tank with less. Is there any special considerations for that?
