My cowfish has this white patches on his fins. No other fish in the tank have anything on them. I’m wondering if this lymphocystis? I’m not sure and I went ahead and treated the tank for Ich. Im just confused. I always thought Ich looked like grains of salt on the body. This doesn’t look like that.. but I don’t know. It got worse almost looked fuzzy and now it looks to almost be gone. ‍The picture was at the start of it. You can see it on the fins. Thanks

There's a lot of debris free floating but from what I can tell, may be lympho which is a condition and not disease. Often its associated with water quality issue as simple as elevated ammonia or nitrate and can be that of water from LFS and not yours. Assure to provide Good water quality monitored by a reliable test kit and feed nutritious food with fats such as LRS nano frenzy and mysis shrimp.
If this is a newer tank as it appears, this is a challenging fish to keep and not a good first fish for any tank

Welcome to Reef2Reef!

I see some discrete spots in the center of the fin that looks like ich. Lymphocystis is a viral disease that causes cell gigantism in fish epithelial cells, so is most often seen in areas of rapid cell growth, such as the edges of fins. Lymphocystis also takes on the coloration of the cells it infects - and for fins, that is usually a gray color.

Can you give us a history of the fish?
