Is this normal anemone behavior?

Hello there! I’ve got this weirdo in my tank. I won’t lie, I added him in when the tank was 2 months old. He has done well since, not moving around as much as I’ve heard other people’s anemones move. But well nonetheless. Tentacles extended, stretching for light, overall happy camper. Within the last two days he did do this though, and I thought it was really weird... This is during lights off:

Hello, sorry. I should’ve elaborated. It’s hanging upside down on a rock where it isn’t receiving very much light, it’s also giving off some kind of slime with small brown things attached (waste?). Here’s some better photos.

Does it look like it's melting? Does it stand back up in the morning? Or does it just hang there all the time? What are your water parameters? Anenome can be finicky little critters. I had one, once, that ran away from the light and ended up starving to death.

As you know, your tank is very young. The anemone will act unpredictably until your tank matures. BTAs are notorious for moving around during this time. Make sure your powerheads are covered

+1. Since the tank is new, he’ll probably move around for a bit. Leave it alone and give it some time.
