The dark area circled in red seems to be increasing. Is this normal for a toadstool leather?

might be cyano growth? does it come of if blown on or brushed?

I just brushed it and some of it was green algae and there is still a dark area. Looks like it’s inside. It wasn’t happy at all after I did some brushing.

I have never had a toadstool before so I can’t say if the coral is having issues but @ISpeakForTheSeas might be able to help with this though!

Hmm, corals aren't my strong point at the moment, but that doesn't look good to me - I would assume it's an infection of some kind and that the coral should be fragged above the discolored part of the stem to remove the infection, but I may be wrong.

I know @DeniseAndy has dealt with toadstool issues before, though, so maybe they would have some insight here.
