Looks like it is staring to spread out from the original and anchor to the rock below. I had a chalice do this very similar thing. I started to extend and grow down to another rock. It looks healthy and all, so I would watch and see.
 
Thanks. I was thinking that might be it but wasn’t sure. The thing has grown like a weed. It’s pretty but a horrible neighbor.
