Hi everyone, I just got a nexus’s joker anemone today and it has position itself behind my rocks away from the light. I have turned off my pump in hopes that it will move into the light. Should I be worried about this?

They usually take a bit to settle in and might hide at first while they adjust. Just give it some time, keep your water stable, and it should move to a spot it likes.

Update**

The little punk went over the wall and into the pump chamber last night. It’s stuck to the wall pretty good. How can I get him out ???

you can try to make him let go using the edge of a credit card, but if the foot gets damaged, that can be fatal as well.

If you try that, do it real slow, might take 30 minutes of “nudging”.

If he’s in no danger, you can wait him out, see if he walks again and back out, then guard that entrance from reentry.

I tried the ice cube method and placing my pump to blow water in it and it’s still stuck firm I’m just going to wait

At one point, he will “need” the light.

Hoping he may move towards that.

See what 24 hrs brings.

Use your finger to massage the foot, it will get lose in on spot and you can use your finger to lift it off , note this has to be super gentle and if you’re worried you may hurt the anemone then don’t do it , it will need light and want to move eventually
