is this normal?

I got a candy cane maybe in Dec. It was a little skinny, but after a few weeks of feeding it puffed right up. It's been doing great, little feeders comming out, then today it was soooo skiny. The skin was so tight you could see the shape of his skeleton.

Sorry my pics stink.

My levels are all good, my salinity was a little high, but brought it back down. All my other corals are fine and nothing has changed.

Sometimes they shrink up. But if it doesn't go back to normal in a day. It doesn't like something.

It's perfectly normal for LPS to expand and contract on a daily basis. I would not be concerned unless the coral remains that way or starts to show tissue recession.

After alterations in water chemistry such as an elevated SG it's not unusual for corals to take their sweet time in recovering from swings in parameters.

Okay. I had the water tested on Wed at LFS so I added a little RO water. It looked really puffed up yesterday, that's why I was so surprised to see it so skinny.

I guess the tank did have a change, I got 3 ricordeas Wed, but they aren't close to the candy cane.

I'll keep an eye on it, thanks. I just got nervous.
