Is this normal??

I have a long spine sea urchin in my 30 gallon tank. I have noticed that either it been growing new white spines or some spines are turning white? Is this normal?

What are your water parameters? Are any of the spines coming off? or just turning white at this point

Ok so i tested my water yesterday and no, no spines have fallen out.

SG- 1.025
AMMO- 0.25
PH- 8.0
NITRITE- 0
NITRATE- 80
CAL- 400
KH- 10dKH
PHOSPHATE- 0
MAG- 1500

I AM GOING TO DO A WATSR CHANGE RIGHT NOW TO BRING DOWN THAT AMMO AND NITATE
