Is this normal

Hi so my brittle star like a whole in the main part of his body so i was wondering if that is normal.... But it also might be from losing a leg but idk so if someone helps i will be so happy.

Welcome to the forum! Sorry but it doesn’t look good for that brittle star, I would keep a eye on it and pull it from the tank if it gets much worse.

Ok thanks for the help this breeder gave it to my dad at this show on the 15th... But he's been doing good my dad said and he was eating... So idk. Thanks for the help
