Over the last week or so I've noticed this one particular mushroom isn't opening normally and today I noticed what looks like a snail on the bottom? It could just be a snail shell as the mushroom was sitting in the substrate at one point but I'm looking for input. Thanks in advance!

if your referring to the upside down pyramid that is white and brown striped, it looks like a trochus snail, a common aquarium snail. I have 10 of them in my tank.

I agree, the snail in the photo is a Trochus. A harmless algae eater. It won't hurt the mushroom. Check your parameters and flow.
